Road Map

We have students in Media 11/12, Leadership 9/10, and a journalism group working on videos using the GoPro cameras and Filmora on the Windows Surface Pros. A group of students in leadership are creating an "orientation" video for students from our feeder schools coming up to Highland next year. We are really enjoying the process they are going through in creating this and are looking forward to the end product:)

The senior media class is using Filmora to edit a variety of films that represent the community around them. One group is making a PSA-type film on littering, some are planning interviews with students around school events and personal achievements. We are organizing our back room with a desk and a green screen so we can do 'news' reports and alter the background.

A young journalism group has been working on a website/newspaper called The Current. It is still in the beginning stage but we will put media up on this site as it's created, including news, features and creative projects. This is done only as a club at this point, but if we move into a class, this will develop further. https://thehighlandcurrent.wixsite.com/thecurrent

We plan to create a website (WiX) to showcase our project. This website will include the description of the project, the process we followed, our challenges and successes, and recommendations. In addition, we will upload a variety of videos that our students have created. These will represent projects from Tourism 11/12, Media 11/12 and Leadership 9/10.

We haven't started the website yet but will be beginning this shortly. We have several finished videos from our Tourism 11/12 class. Students are still working on their videos in the Leadership 9/10 and Media 11/12 classes. We will include these as they are finished:)
